meet blair

Hi, I'm Blair! I am a wedding, engagement, & adventure photographer currently based in Seattle, WA. My husband, David, and I grew up in Maryland and made the big trek out west to the mountains in 2016 to start our full-time, grown-up people jobs, but also to explore the beauty that is the Pacific Northwest of course. I worked as a structural design engineer on aircrafts for five and a half years while pursuing photography on the side until recently when I quit to become a photographer fulltime! Literally been dreaming of this day for so long and finally made the jump.

I began this journey in June of 2017 when I was given the opportunity to photograph a friend's wedding, and it was one of the biggest blessings in my life. It changed the course of my life immensely, and I’ll always be thankful for that moment. Throughout my life, pictures have always been a very big deal to me. I loved taking them, I was always the one on family vacations with the camera, I would spend hours when I was younger figuring out new ways to take and edit photos, I'm pretty sure that every year for Christmas I asked for a new and better camera, I loved (and still love) scrolling back through years worth of photos for no absolute reason except for the fact that reviving memories and feelings that have temporarily escaped my mind cache is one of my favorite things to do, and I realized that I spent HOURS (and I mean hours) looking at wedding photographers for our own big day. Also instagram has and will always be my favorite social media app because it literally was designed to just share pictures. I wanted to start this journey of capturing some of life's most joyous moments and sharing more love in the world through photos. So here I am, fulfilling a passion that I prayed to come to fruition for a long time. 

People are beautiful and unique and precious. Their lives are intricate stories with ups and downs, and I I love showing people how beautiful their story is through photos. I feel blessed to say this is now my FULLTIME JOB. What a dream. 

Honestly though, I wouldn't be here without the guy who is for sure my better half, who supports me in everything I venture out to do, and who makes up the other half of Blair Lim Photography. Meet my husband, David.
